Rob's credentials include:
Confluence AT is owned and operated by Rob Childress, ATC/L.
As a certified athletic trainer, his priority is creating the most effective treatments available for musculoskeletal injuries both acute and chronic in nature.
Rob also believes that if your job requires movement, you are a professional athlete. Industrial athletes deserve the same high quality injury treatment and prevention services you would find available in the athletic training rooms associated with more traditional sports like football or basketball.

A native Montanan, Rob began his journey towards athletic training with a passion for moving in the outdoors. A love of climbing, snowboarding and trail running eventually led him to a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Montana State University in Bozeman. In 2011, he transitioned from the Rocky Mountains to the Mid-Atlantic in pursuit of a master's degree in athletic training. He graduated with honors from Shenandoah University in Northern Virginia in 2013.

Since 2013, Rob has had the privilege of using a variety of evidence-based interventions in treating and preventing sports injuries in athletes of all stripes. In addition to traditional collegiate athletics, he feels lucky to have worked with athletes in law enforcement, factory workers, ultra endurance runners and mixed martial arts fighters. He has also worked with professional skiers and snowboarders with Teton Gravity Research and competitors in the Freeride World Tour.
